goto this link http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=663.0

download the repairsteiings.php file > upload to your forum folder on your server > then in your browser direct it to that file

then you will have a list of pathways for your files - if any are different to what they should be it will tell you the recommend paths and you can change to them

once done delete the repairsettings file and your site should be sorted

this maybe a bit of a dumb question but are you sure all folders and files have been moved correctly because if you have placed your forum files in the root I should be able to access your default themes index.css by going to http://www.theblackberryshed.co.uk/Themes/default/css/index.css but when i point my browser to that location it can't find the file

Im going to assume it must be something to do with some pathways somewhere/somehow as images arent being displayed even when they are football d into template files and when I inspect your site using firebug its not showing any css and if the image and css folders are in the right place I can only draw the conclusion the pathways to them folders is wrong

Have you tried clearing the site cache? (The paths may be saved to cache making it still point to an old location) Also, open the Settings.php and double check the paths there.
